In line with the emerging trend of Intellectual Property (IP) valuation and raised business sense and awareness on importance of IP valuation for businesses, ‘The IP Place’ aims to develop a market place exclusively for the promotion and consolidation of IP valuators and brokerage houses in order to achieve the following objectives:

• Tranform the presence and uplift the face of IP industry in the UK
• Consolidated platform and open directory of IP valuation services being offered by IP valuators and brokerage houses along with their company details.
• Allocating appropriate space to each IP valuator and broker to showcase their services and competitiveness, thereby attracting customers to a variety of available valuation options so that they can select the ones most suited to their requirements.
• To raise awareness and education about IP valuation for all business sizes and attract businesses towards IP valuation other than special events as cited above. It will be done through posting blogs, articles and vlogs etc. highlighting the importance and benefits of IP valuation for businesses.
• Providing a platform to all IP valuators and brokers to engage in dialogues and form an association to dicuss their challenges and business cases for recognition and formalization of standardized policies & structure of IP valuation industry at the state level.
• Attracting academic institues to promote thier IP based educational programs to potential customers
• Promotion of IP related events and activities across the UK. The platform will also initiate conferences, symposiums and related events for enchanced interactions among IP valuators and their potential businesses.

Our Vision

We envision to formalise and simplify the IP industry making it more visible yet transparent. It allows IP owners to profile their licensing and technology transfer programmes, highlighting details of specific rights that they are interested in transacting. It allows IP buyers to search IP assets based on industry, technology and transaction type, and facilitates requests for intellectual property and technology.
